I am a Counselling Psychologist whose primary objective is to provide therapeutic services in a non-judgmental environment, one of unconditional positive regard in which individuals can explore their mental health concerns on their journey to self-actualisation. My integrative practice utilises the psychodynamic (Object Relations) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) orientations. My interests include attachment and trauma informed therapeutic approaches having had experience working in affective and eating disorders in secondary mental health care and child and adolescent mental health services.
I have completed doctoral training at Teesside University in the United Kingdom focusing on evidence based interventions. I have also received additional training in Sand Tray Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy and Transactional Analysis which allows me to expand and modify my practice when working with diverse populations.
