Combining a love of languages, education and medicine, speech-language pathology is a passion that I discovered just after CXC. All my tertiary studies have been in this field. As the only SLP in the country with a clinical doctorate, my practice is guided by training in public policy, operations and process improvement and evidence-based practice.
While my practice is mainly paediatric, I have special training in speech sound (pronunciation), voice, fluency, feeding/swallowing and adult language/cognition disorders. Outside of my practice, I offer contractual services to hospitals and schools, and I lecture at the University of the West Indies. My hobbies include reading, singing and composing music.
